Eastern Connecticut State Universities Music Program is committed to engaging with the campus and local communities through our programming and engagement initiatives. Such events include the noon recital.

Every Friday, students, and faculty from Eastern’s music department sign up to perform repertoire they have been working on throughout the semester, in the Fine Arts instructional center at noon.  And since Halloween is on a Saturday this year, we will be having our Halloween themed noon recital “Spooktacular noon recital” on Friday, October 30th, which some may refer to as, Halloween Eve.

Noon recitals typically consist of performances such as soloists in instrumentals, including Trumpet, saxophone, and flute! Along with voice soloists singing musical theatre, classical, and opera. Noon recitals also showcase ensembles, such as percussion ensemble. All noon recitals are free and open to all students and faculty at Eastern. Performers are also encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes while performing!
