Just last week, Jeffrey Epstein victim Annie Farmer has claimed that she and other victims will take the steps necessary to release an “unofficial client list”. Farmer is a sexual assault victim who was sent to spend a weekend with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell at just sixteen years old, where she was abused and continues to fight for justice years later not just for herself and other victims of Epstein, but for a brighter future for our world.

When speaking to NBC News about the files, she states that her and other victims’ decisions to release their own list is a “new idea that has just been introduced, and I think it’s just borne out of the frustration with this question that people keep asking in the media [...] the idea is, we have actually turned over these names, people have reported these names to the FBI, to the government, these names are known [...]”

Farmer brings up some incredibly crucial information, and even more crucial questions. If real, accredited victims of these sex crimes have come out with the names of perpetrators and those who have invested in these sex rings, why hasn’t any of their hard work in exposing these harmful organizations been recognized? Why are we ignoring victims, when we know what they say could not only be true, but detrimental for the state of this country?

There are many stances' people take when thinking about this client list: Republicans such as Donald Trump have continuously claimed it to be a hoax by the Democrats, specifically designed to bring him and his campaign down, while others say that Trump’s indifference on the Epstein files is a coverup.

One thing we do know is that there is something incredibly suspicious occurring right now. We should not be looking at this situation as political, not as Democrat vs. Republican, but we should instead view it as an example of this country’s imbalance of power and an injustice for the American people. No matter the political background or which bubble you filled in on your voting ballot, we should be fighting to have these criminals exposed and sent to trial, just as any sex criminal deserves.

The American people have become so hung up on Red vs. Blue that we have truly lost who we are as a country—we are all American through and through, no matter what. And as American’s, we should care about showing our intolerance for pedophiles, sexual exploitation, and the abuse of power that we all know is occurring.
