Eastern Connecticut State University’s men's soccer team celebrated their Senior Night with a 2-0 victory over Fisher College on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Rick McCarthy Field. The Warriors were able to give their seniors a memorable final home game while continuing their unbeaten streak to 6 games.

Before the game, Eastern Connecticut honored 7 seniors who have been important to the men’s soccer team. The seniors recognized were Sebastian Kadlof, Patricio Vidales, Nico Matteucci, Noah Page, Reid Dowling, Nico Agresti, and Felipe Pereira. Senior Night gave the team, coaches, and fans a chance to recognize their time and contributions to the team.

The Warrior came out strong and quickly put pressure on Fisher. Eastern got on the scoreboard in the earlier half when senior Patricio Vidales scored the first goal of the game. Brad Balgach and Felipe Pereira assisted on the goals. The early goal gave Eastern the confidence they needed to allow the team to play with a lead for most of the game.

After taking the 1-0 lead, Eastern continued to create opportunities while its defense worked to keep Fisher from getting back into the game. Fisher had several chances throughout the match, but Eastern goalkeeper Jack Harmon made 5 saves and kept a clean sheet. The Warriors’ defense also limit Fisher’s chances of scoring and protected the lead.

Eastern continued a hold onto its advantage as the game moved into the 2nd half. With Fisher still looking for a way to score, the Warriors stayed focused on the game and continued to push forward. The team eventually got another goal late in the game.

Late in the 2nd half, Brad Balgach scored to give Eastern a 2-0 lead. Nico Matteucci and Colin Marshall assisted on the goal. Balgach’s late goal helped secure the win and gave the Warriors some extra insurance during the final minutes of the game.

The victory was especially meaningful for the seniors because it was their final regular season home game at Eastern. Vidales was able to contribute to the team’s first goal, while Pereira also assisted. Matteucci assisted on the team’s second goal, making Senior Night an important night for several of the seniors on the field.

The 2-0 victory gave Eastern another strong result during their six-game unbeaten streak. Harmon’s 5 saves and the team’s defensive effort were important parts of the victory. Eastern was able to control the game while keeping Fisher off the scoreboard for all 90 minutes.

Overall, Senior Night gave Eastern a chance to celebrate to its 7 seniors while also continuing its strong stretch of play during the season. The 2-0 win over Fisher allowed the Warriors to leave Rick McCarthy Field with a memorable result. For the seniors, it was a special way to finish their final home game and celebrate the time they have spent with the Eastern Connecticut men’s soccer team.
